As soon as possible, we are recruiting for an open vacancy, at our Munich based office, working full-time (38 hours/week).

Therefore, we are looking for a:

Principal Project Management Officer (PMO) (m/f/d)

To strengthen our Project Management capabilities we are looking for a Principal Project Management Officer (PMO) (m/f/d) who will be responsible for the overall governance and coordination of PMO activities for a key programme at TSCNET. The Principal PMO (m/f/d) will assume leadership responsibilities and must be equipped with the relevant knowledge, experience and competencies to help deliver the programme, as well as the ability to inspire others.

For this role, we seek the following requirements:

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and continuously improve the governance structures to ensure control of the programme
  • Ensure the provision and maintenance of accurate and topical programme management information
  • Act as a sparring partner towards the project teams
  • Ensure PMO deliverables meet the necessary programme requirements
  • Coordinate and manage change initiatives
  • Monitor and control the programme finances
  • Develop and maintain an integrated programme management plan
  • Ensure the integration of individual project plans
  • Plan resources in line with the programme requirements
  • Develop an annual programme budget
  • Identify and manage the programme risks & opportunities
  • Support the monitoring and control of external service providers
  • Build trusted relationships with individuals and/or stakeholder groups, both internally and externally to TSCNET
  • Help identify and resolve programme issues
  • Facilitate the organization of meetings with external stakeholders
  • Empower and inspire others to deliver the programme by providing feedback, direction and support, so people can perform their best work
  • Facilitate management decision-making

Your qualifications

  • Sound working knowledge of current Project Management methodologies, processes and tools
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant subject
  • Professional PM qualifications e.g. PMI, APM, IPMA
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
  • Experience of international or complex programmes in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Experience of leading and developing internationally diverse and multi-functional teams
  • Proactive mindset, specifically for problem solving and issue resolution
  • The ability to see the big picture whilst not over-looking the details
  • Very good organizational and team-working skills
  • Mastery of standard Microsoft Office and Project Management software and collaboration tools
  • Knowledge of the European energy industry and specifically the role of RCCs and TSOs is a plus
